What Is Climate Change?
Climate change is basically the long-term changes that occur in the climate globally. The climate of a particular place usually depends on many factors like precipitation, changing temperatures, humidity level and many others. However, many external factors have arisen in the modern era and impacting the climate. One of these factors includes global warming. Yes, global warming has bought changes in the climate to a great extent and these changes have become very evident.
What Is The Impact Of Climate Change?
Climate change has brought drastic changes to the planet’s geological, biological as well as ecological system. These changes have caused the occurrence of environmental problems like unexpected and extreme weather conditions, losing the biodiversity, ozone depletion etc.
What Is Global Warming?
Global Warming is the increased amount of heat that is coming to the earth from the sun. And it is one of the major reasons for today’s climate change.
The Impact Of Global Warming
Due to the impact of Global warming, different environmental changes are taking place like the melting of glaciers and the ice in the sea, and differences in precipitation. People usually confuse global warming and climate change as one but they are two different factors, one former influencing the other. Global warming is the reason behind the huge shift in our planet’s weather conditions. These changes are not just limited to the increasing temperature but its impact is way beyond imagination. These changes are taking place in our lives as humans continue deforestation.
Mountain glaciers are melting day by day in all the four poles of the earth and also the western part of Antarctica, Greenland, and the Arctic sea. And this melting ice increases the sea level. The sea levels are increasing at a rate of 0.13 inches every year all over the world. Due to which many animals who live on snow have been impacted. This rise in sea levels destructs and damages many coastal areas.
The damage caused by climate change is not confined to coastal areas but also causes floods in many places as it also increases rainfall. Species like the Penguins and polar bears face a lot of challenges after losing their habitat. There are also changes taking place in precipitation (includes both rainfall and snowfall) all over the world. However, it is also important to note that many regions are facing drought, lost crops, and lack of water.
Solutions To Climate Change
The whole concept of climate is directly related to the release of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases to the atmosphere. People need to adopt solutions before getting swept away by nature. Controlling deforestation and planting more and more trees, preserving energy, saving water and not wasting them, using renewable resources etc are some of the steps that need to be taken care of by everyone.
All these researches on solutions for Global warming and climate change won’t be very useful if we don’t adapt and apply it in our real lives.
